Summertime!

It's summer in Sentinel Peak. You can always count on the following things happening in the ward:

1. Half the members will be on vacation, escaping to someplace less hot.
2. A bunch of members will move out.
3. A bunch of new members will move in.

I don't think we are far different from many other wards in these ways. I went on vacation and spent one Sunday in my parents' and sister's ward in Illinois. My sister is in the Primary Presidency, and right at the beginning of Sunday School she grabbed me, handed me a manual, and threw me to a Primary class that had no teacher since so many folks were on vacation. :)

Our theme for the year for Relief Society is Hearts Knit Together in Love. To love someone, it really helps to get to know them. Our third quarter focus on this theme is therefore: Introduce yourself to all the new sisters who move in. Make them feel welcome!
